December Giving

Outstanding Leadership

December: Giving

Getting ready for our craft!
We successfully concluded the first tea party of the school year with cheerful Christmas spirit. We started the meeting off with a  reindeer pine-cone craft which crafted out beautifully and made for a beautiful ornament. We then had a presentation with our theme of gratefulness and giving while enjoying pizza, cookies and treats galore, credited to our potluck. We talked about giving to others during this month of giving and what our favorite part about Christmas is which is, “Having a great time with family”- Daniela said and, “Decorating so you can feel holiday spirit”-Mrs. Jordan. We also discussed the marathon community service opportunity in which we will be helping out on January 7 (more info will be given out through text). We ended our December meeting enjoying Christmas music and brainstorming ideas for our February meeting as January's meeting is cancelled due to finals. Special thank you to all our tea sippers who participated in our first tea party, it wouldn't have been a success without you! And remember to express giving throughout this month and proper etiquette. Till the next, tea sippers.

November, 2016 Thankfullness

In this meeting of Tea and Etiquette on November 7, 2016 We concluded a successful meeting with our theme topic of thankfulness. This meeting began with a presentation about thankfulness, where we gave examples of being thankful with our friends and families but also being thankful for education and food. We led a discussion within the group about what they were thankful for and Daniela said she's “Thankful for netflix” and others said they were thankful for food, traveling, and their pets.Following the discussion we began an ice breaking activity to get to know each others names. We had one person stand up, say their name and a word that starts with the first letter as their name for example Melissa;Mango and the following person would then say the person before them name and the word and continue it down through out the circle. While getting to know each other we undertook a festive turkey craft in theme of thanksgiving while enjoying scrumptious cookies and iced tea. We concluded the meeting with brainstorming future ideas of community service and upcoming tea parties.

October 2016, Responsibility

Monday October 10th, 2016 3-4 p.m.

It was our first meeting of the new year! We discussed responsibility and what that means to each of us. How are we responsible as students, members of our family and as individuals. We had some really great discussions that will keep us thinking about this character trait. We made Halloween bookmarks, enjoyed some cookies and had a fun time. Our next meeting is November 7th, be sure to RSVP and bring a friend!
